Rio Grande

The Rio Grande is situated south from Esquel, just a 30 minutes drive to some very productive fishing. The source of the water is Los Alerces Nacional Park, and the river flows to the Pacific through Chile. The Rio Grande has many rainbows and browns , along with some Pacific Salmon. The average size ranges from 14 to 18 inch fish.

A float down the river gives a chance to 15km of river.

Rio Carrileufu

Rio Carrileufu with crystal clear water, is the only river in the area that has a significant number of landlocked salmon, along with rainbow trout and brook trout. The best way to enjoy the Carrileufu is with a full day float.

Arroyo Pescado

Arroyo pescado is a fish reserve situated west from Esquel in Patagonia. This spring fed creek offers some big fish. The spring creek and lagoons offer rainbow trout, brown trout.

All of the fishing is done from the bank, no wading or floating options are available at this location.

Rio Corcovado

The Rio Corcovado offers a drift through some of the best trout fishing in Patagonia.

The Corcovado originates with from Lago Winter, a large glacier fed lake in the Andes. It flows out of the Andes, through the Estancia Tecka, and then back through the Andes to the Pacific Ocean.

There are three different types of drifts in the Estancia, each with many pools , runs and excellent fishing for rainbow, brown and brook trout.

Rio Rivadavi

Crystal clear waters, lots of fish, and spectacular scenery.

The Rivadavia is one of the most famous rivers in Patagonia. This River is in the center of Los Alerces National Park, and offers the option of both float trips, and wading. The river includes land locked salmon, along with rainbow trout, brown trout and some brook trout.

 A full day float down the river includes a shore lunch in some of the most scenic areas of Patagonia.

Tecka Lodge

Tecka Lodge, is situated south from Esquel and offers fishing on both the Tecka and Corcovada Rivers.

Located on a Ranch of 175,000 hectars, with 100,000 shep and 5,000 head of cattle. The Corcovado river runs througth the ranch in a distance of 70 km. The Rio Tecka is a spring Creek, which offers some very large trout. In addition to the rivers, there are several spring creeks and lagoons.

Fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout and brook trout can be done from drift boats, wading, or from the shore.

Fishing conditions, and the weather can be highly variable, so a wide range of equipment and clothing is recommended.
